Where’s the best part of the cinnamon roll?

The center, of course.

And what’s the most magical part of the PB & J?

The part on the inside, right?

So it only stands to reason then that the part of you that makes you a unique, magical unicorn of awesomeness lies somewhere deeper than what’s seen on the surface, right?

So, what if you began to get to know yourself again? I mean really get to know yourself. Not the you who is a daughter, sister, mother, or wife. Not the you who is defined by your title at work or the position you hold on a committee.

The real you.

The authentic you.

The you at your core.

How would that feel to hang out with that girl again?

The girl who could lose herself for hours in her favorite hobby. The one who laughed easily and found humor in the silliest of things. The young woman with big hopes and fears and the audacity to believe that she was capable of just about anything.

Wouldn’t it feel great to re-acquaint yourself with her?

In the pages of Dig Deep, Grow Strong, you’ll find…

  • A guided journey back to your most authentic self
  • Short daily reads to inspire and encourage you to find truths within yourself
  • Thoughtful prompts to challenge your personal status quo
  • An easy-to-follow methodology for finding the you who you were before the world told you who to be

A guided journal that can change your life? I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true. Each day’s message and prompt are designed to build on each other and gently guide you toward reconnecting with yourself.

“When I started this 30-day challenge, I was skeptical. My sense of self had disappeared a long time ago, and I wasn’t sure I would ever find it again,” shared Nancy. “But I found me again. The fun me. The happy me. The accomplished me. And that’s pretty cool.”

Jessi had this to say, “In the first few exercises, I struggled hard to come up with answers but, with a little thought, I came up with more than I thought I would typically say when asked, ‘Tell me about yourself.’ I was uncomfortable writing things I’m good at, feeling like I shouldn’t boast my talents. But after I had things down on paper, I thought, ‘Wow! You are pretty awesome after all.’ I feel my heart and mind opening toward being kind to myself again. Thank you, Kitt! You’re amazing!”

What exactly is a guided journal?

For most of us, when we think of a journal, we envision a book filled solely with blank, lined pages. A guided journal is different in that it’s filled with prompts for what to write about each day. In the case of Dig Deep, Grow Strong, I take the concept of a guided journal a step further and include a short chapter each day around the topic of that day’s prompt to really get you thinking about your answer.

I’ve never been a person who journals, and the thought of this terrifies me.

I get it. The reason most people give for hating the idea of journaling is that they don’t know what to write about. They end up staring at a blank page in frustration, and it ends up feeling like too much work to just get started. You won’t have that problem with Dig Deep, Grow Strong since each day you’ll have a straightforward prompt to get you going.

But how can just writing in a journal make a difference in my life?

Before we spent so much time on computers and smartphones, it was pretty commonplace to write down your thoughts at least periodically, if not regularly. We don’t tend to do that so much anymore. But an interesting thing happens when we do.

When we put pen to paper, the part of our brain associated with problem-solving, the prefrontal region, becomes significantly more activated while activity in the emotional center of the brain, the amygdala, is reduced. The result is that journaling actually helps our brain to process emotions. It’s also been scientifically shown to reduce stress, manage anxiety, and reduce intrusive thoughts. Additionally, improved cognitive function and boosts in long-term memory are other key benefits of journaling.

I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and wonder who that is staring back at yourself. There was a time in my life when I wasn’t sure who I was. I knew what roles I filled for those around me, but who was the “me” underneath all of that? I wasn’t sure. So I began asking myself questions and refused to settle for the surface-level, conditioned answers that first popped up into my head. I began to dig deep. The prompts in Dig Deep, Grow Strong were inspired by my own journey back to myself.

If you’re…

  • Determined to dig your way out of feeling stuck in life
  • Longing to discover the you who exists beyond the roles you play in life
  • Ready to reclaim your self-worth and happiness
  • Committed to investing in yourself

The Dig Deep, Grow Strong can and will change your life.
